Odin's Reversi is the classic game of turning the tables, played with Viking shields. Place a shield so that it closes a line of your opponent's shields, and every shield in that line turns to your side. One move can change the whole board, so no lead is safe until the last shield is down. Play on three boards and add any of six house rules for a new game every time.
Play a friend live, by turn or nearby.
Three boards, one rule
Place a shield so that a straight line of your opponent's shields — across, down, or on a diagonal — is closed at both ends by yours, and the whole line turns. If you can't place, you pass; when neither side can, the side with more shields wins.
Quick
6×6
Six by six, a short game for the youngest players.
Classic
8×8
Eight by eight, the board the whole world plays.
Grand
10×10
Ten by ten, with room for long plans and corners worth fighting for.
Six house rules
Runestones
A few runestones are set on the board before play. Nothing lands on them, and no line runs through them.
World Serpent
The edges join, as the serpent circles the world, so lines wrap around and there are no corners.
Loki's Game
The fewest shields wins.
Norns' Opening
Every game starts from a dealt, balanced opening.
Odin's Favor
Give one side up to four corners before the first move.
Victorian Rules
The 1880s rules, with an empty center and a limited supply of shields.
Turn any of them on for new games from the House Rules screen.
Viking shields that turn
Every piece is a Viking round shield, light on one face and dark on the other, and every shield carries its own design: ravens, wolves, dragons, longships and more. Pick a look in Settings: painted, realistic, Viking art, basic, or rune coins. Then choose your board: green leather, oak and iron, or engraved cherry.
