Odin's Reversi · Last updated: October 6, 2026
Odin's Reversi is developed by Hollender Consulting, LLC. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: we don't collect any of it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Nothing. Hollender Consulting, LLC does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information from Odin's Reversi. There are no advertisements, no analytics, no tracking technologies, and no third-party software development kits of any kind in the app.
WHERE YOUR GAME DATA LIVES
Your saved games, win/loss records, streaks, level, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app also keeps your saved games, records, streaks, level, and language choice in your own private iCloud account so they stay in sync across your Apple devices, along with two small notes it keeps for itself: whether it has asked you to rate it, and a few counts about our other games (how many times the app has been opened, how often it has mentioned them, and whether you have opened one). Your other settings — sound, house rules, and the look of the shields and the board — stay on the device. That data belongs to you and travels between your devices through Apple's iCloud service. We have no server, no database, and no ability to see, retrieve, or recover it.
Deleting the app removes the local copy. Managing or deleting the iCloud copy is done through your device's iCloud settings.
GAME CENTER
Leaderboards, achievements, and the internet multiplayer modes — turn-based matches, live matches, and invitations — are provided by Apple's Game Center. If you choose to use them, Apple handles the associated data — including your Game Center nickname, your scores, and the delivery of moves between players — under Apple's own privacy policy, not this one. When you play an online match, your opponent sees the display name your Game Center account presents and your level in the game, and a turn-based or nearby invitation names the house rules the game will be played under.
Game Center is entirely optional. If you are not signed in, the app skips it and every other feature continues to work.
LOCAL NETWORK
Play Someone Nearby finds other people running Odin's Reversi on your local network, so two people in the same room can play each other. This uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework, which discovers the other device and then connects the two directly. It is not Game Center, and it is why your device asks for Local Network permission the first time you open that screen.
Discovery starts when you open that screen. If a nearby game's connection drops, the app keeps looking for the other device for up to 90 seconds so the game can resume. While discovery runs, your device advertises the name shown on that screen — your Game Center nickname and the kind of device, such as "Sean · iPad", if you are signed in to Game Center, otherwise your device's own name. The connection between the two devices is encrypted and carries only your game — the moves, each player's name, and the house rules of the game — and never passes through a server of ours. Playing nearby does not require a Game Center account. No location data is collected, and nothing about your network is transmitted to us.
CHILDREN
Odin's Reversi is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data at all, we collect no data from children.
PURCHASES
Odin's Reversi is a paid app with nothing to buy inside it: no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no ads. Your purchase is the whole game.
CHANGES
