Squared² is Dots and Boxes — the pencil-and-paper classic, rebuilt with care. It goes by a few other names too, depending on where you grew up: Boxes, Squares, Paddocks, or Pigs in a Pen. Eight boards
From a two-minute 3×3 to the 12×12 marathon, including the classic 10×10 paper size — and the Swedish opening, which starts with the whole border already drawn and drops you straight into the chain battle.
Four rivals
Four computer strengths that actually play differently. Easy plays loose and gives chains away. Medium plays the percentages. Hard and Expert read the chains ahead and make you earn every box. And every opponent varies its openings, so games don't all start the same way.
Two to four seats
Pass & Play with two, three, or four around one screen. Rename any seat, or sign in to Game Center and play as yourself. Your game saves itself after every move — quit anytime, resume exactly where you left off.
Play anyone
Quick Async Match and Live Match through Game Center, an invitation to a friend, or up to four devices in the same room over your local network — no account and no internet needed for that last one. Online and nearby tables seat two to four, and rematches work in every mode.
Ink on paper
An ink-on-paper design in light and dark — dot-grid paper, real Space Grotesk and IBM Plex type, and line-draw and box-pop animations that make every claim feel earned.
Something to climb
Games against the computer, online and nearby earn XP. Climb the levels, then chase 28 achievements and six Game Center leaderboards — longest chain, most boxes, total wins, rank points, best win streak and games finished.

A hint when you want a nudge. Undo when you slip. Video Instructions that show the game on the real board, and a How to Play that teaches the chain strategy, not just the rules. Six save slots that follow you between devices through your own iCloud account. A widget on iPhone and iPad that tells you whose move it is, and Siri to pick the game back up.
